The product boasts solid strength and knot tying ability as well as very low visibility underwater, all very important traits when looking for a good fluorocarbon line. However, this line does come with some challenges as it has fairly high memory and becomes brittle quickly when there is a kink or knick in the line.
The best use case for Berkley Vanish is as a leader material or a mainline on a baitcasting reel. We do not recommend using this line as a mainline on spinning gear due to its memory and tendency to twist.
If you are looking for a solid, affordable fluorocarbon, give Berkley vanish a go. If you want something that offers premium degrees of strength, suppleness and durability and have a bit of budget, you would be better off going for something in the Berkley Trilene series or Seaguar InvizX.
